Samsung recently launched the School Tour series of the global initiative Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 at Ly Tu Trong High School for the gifted (Can Tho) on September 11 and Thong Nhat Secondary School (Tay Ninh) on September 12. This activity is part of the worldwide Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) competition, designed to inspire and unlock creativity among secondary and high school students across Vietnam.
A creative playground for Vietnamese youth
Launched in the United States in 2010, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow has expanded to more than 64 countries, engaging about 2.6 million students and teachers worldwide. In Vietnam, the competition debuted in 2019 and quickly became a prestigious academic platform for students aged 12 to 18.
By the end of 2024, the program had attracted over 475,000 students and teachers, generating nearly 7,500 project submissions. With this year’s theme “Proud to Innovate - Elevating Vietnam”, the competition continues its mission of encouraging students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) knowledge to address real-world social issues in their local communities.
School Tour 2025 –-An inspiring STEM experience
Each stop of the School Tour 2025 drew nearly 200 students, offering a variety of engaging activities:
- Inspiration sharing from past SFT winners, helping students better understand the creative journey and the role of STEM in life.
- Station 1 – Kahoot Quiz: A fast-paced interactive game on STEM knowledge and the SFT program.
- Station 2 – Problem solving: Students identified pressing local challenges.
- Station 3 – Future city: Building smart city models with integrated technology solutions.
- Station 4 – Innovation tree: A space for students to share messages and aspirations for their hometown.
- Photozone: A check-in and photo area where participants received souvenirs and spread the event’s spirit on social media.
Through these activities, students not only deepened their understanding of STEM but also practiced essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and teamwork.
Solve for Tomorrow 2025 is more than an academic contest, it embodies Samsung’s long-term commitment to accompany Vietnamese youth on their journey to build a sustainable, modern, and innovative future.
